Turning Fantasies into Reality
History
What began in San Antonio, Texas (2007) was a singular vision—build a self-sustaining, one-stop performance center where artists could create without compromise. Founded by Ryan D’Herde, “D’Herde South” took shape with the launch of its first recording/film studio, laying the foundation for something larger.
In 20013, that vision expanded to New York City, opening a second location just blocks from Times Square in Hell’s Kitchen—placing artists at the intersection of culture, energy, and movement. From 2018-2024, the vision expanded again to spending 6 months minimum at various countries around the world to work with artists of all forms. After living in 18 countries and recording stadium size musicians or hidden villagers living 6 hours to the nearest source of electricity, D’Herde East is fully back and running in NYC.
Over the past decade, we’ve recorded more than 150 musicians, filmed over 80 live concerts, and collaborated with 40+ dance organizations. Every project begins with the same intention: to capture not just the performance, but the story behind it.
It’s a privilege to collaborate with the artists who define culture—and to help bring their work to the world with purpose, precision, and heart.
